Buying Green Showcase event

Over 50 delegates attended the event "Buying green: Showcasing best practice examples of supplier engagement" at the Mermaid Centre on the 13 January 2011 to hear from a range of organisations on how they have worked effectively with suppliers to procure and implement innovative and lower cost sustainable solutions.
 
 Presentations illustrated how to:
• Assess green purchasing options
• Design tender criteria and appoint contractors with sustainability in mind
• Understand the green benefits of products and services and how to measure these
• Realise financial and other business benefits through implementing green procurement
